Andrea is a board-certified Physical Therapist Director at our Katy Fwy location. Andrea comes to BCH with experience in a variety of settings including Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Neurological and developmental delay. Her publications include Enhancements to an International Service-Learning Model: Integration of Program Alumni and Global Stakeholder Feedback. Published at the Journal of Physical Therapy Education (Volume 26, 2nd Edition). She has also been a contributing author on the following; Neuromuscular Activity Based on the Effects of Heavy Resistance Exercise during Rehabilitation and An Integrated Educational Model: Evaluation, Enhancement, and Sustainment of an International Service-Learning Partnership. Presented at Combined Sections Meeting 2014 for the American Physical Therapy Association. Andrea received a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine from Mercyhurst University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. Andrea also has worked with several international groups including For His Children in Quito, Ecuador where she served as the program coordinator. There she Coordinated service projects working at a local orphanage that treats children with disabilities and educated local physical therapists in new research advancements, appropriate for the patients they were treating. With her unique skill set, Andrea brings a lot of great energy to every person she treats. BCH is thrilled to have her as part of the team!
